Home and Gardens

Traveling across the grass
She leaves long trails of tears
Showing us green journeys
That crawl away from stillness

Deep in her interior;
And round and round the garden
Like a gypsy rose
She weaves us all the stories
Of the places she has known,

While crawling in the cabbages
She finds that she must eat
Her way to sweetest freedom of
Most certain death.
